Privacy policy

Last updated 21 October 2026

Forever in Pages helps you turn your memories into a personal book. Those memories are private, and we treat them that way. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Forever in Pages (foreverinpages.com) is operated by [Company legal name], [registered address], registered in [England and Wales] with company number [number]. We are the controller of your personal data. Contact us at [privacy@foreverinpages.com].

What we collect

  • Your answers: names and the memories you share about how you met.
  • Photographs you choose to upload. We remove location and camera metadata when we process them.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe, which collects your card and email for its receipt. We never see your card number, and we don’t keep your email address.
  • Technical data needed to keep the service secure, such as a one-way hashed form of your IP address used briefly for rate limiting.

How we use it

  • To create, store and deliver your book. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse and keep the service secure, which is in our legitimate interests.
  • To keep payment records we are legally required to retain.

We don’t sell your data, we don’t show advertising, and we don’t email you. There are no accounts.

AI and your story

Your answers are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, only to write and revise your story and to check your illustrations. Your book’s illustrations are drawn by Google’s Gemini image service from the characters you choose and short descriptions of scenes from your story. If you add photos, each one is sent to Google’s image service as a guide for painting that moment with your characters, and the painting is what appears in your book. We never use your stories, characters or photos to train AI models, and we use providers whose terms do not allow them to do so with your content.

Who else processes your data

  • Supabase: database and private file storage
  • Stripe: payments
  • Anthropic: writing your story and checking illustrations
  • Google: drawing your illustrations, including painting your photos
  • Vercel: hosting

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Who can see your book

Only you, and anyone you choose to give a private gift link to. Books are never public and are excluded from search engines. You can revoke a gift link at any time.

How long we keep things

  • Unfinished books with no activity for 90 days are deleted automatically.
  • Purchased books are kept until you delete them.
  • Payment records are kept for six years, as required for tax purposes, without your story or photographs.
  • Rate-limiting records are deleted after two days.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and object to or restrict how we use it. You can delete your book yourself from its page, in the browser you made it in. For anything else, contact us at the address above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We use one strictly necessary cookie, which lets this browser open the book it started. We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies.

Forever in Pages is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
